What Happens on Campus

Six pillars, one journey

Each program area is designed to meet a resident at a different point in their journey — from crisis to credential to ownership.

Workforce Development

Job training, career counseling, and employment placement support — the front door to credentialed work.

Financial Literacy & Wealth Building

Investing, business ownership, and self-employment courses taught at the Quadrant — the path from paycheck to portfolio.

Telecommunication Cabling Training

A hands-on, two-nights-per-week program in partnership with AJ Fiber, building the trade skills the region's infrastructure buildout demands.

Holistic Health & Wellness

Substance use disorder treatment, mental health counseling, and peer-supported spaces for men, with the Mental Health Hub for Men.

Legal & Career Support

Legal advocacy against homelessness and poverty with Street Democracy, alongside employment counseling and crisis intervention.

Youth Education & Mentorship

Mentorship and career exposure in partnership with Northwestern High School — leadership pipelines that start early.

Beyond the Pillars

Basic needs & crisis intervention

The campus also meets residents where crisis finds them: food, clothing, identification, and transportation support for neighbors in immediate need. Stability first — everything else follows.

Many of these programs are operated with the Detroit Gye Nyame Graduate Chapter and its partners. For the chapter's full program portfolio — including the Detroit Community Safety Initiative — visit the chapter programs page.
